KUfan.Com celebrates the next decade with a new, improved website. Still a work in progress, the goal will be to make it an easier place to navigate, along with stories of what's happening with the Jayhawks, and perhaps a glimpse into what's happening with some other teams.  There is a completely updated weather page, also. I hope you enjoy the new look and encounter no problems while moving around. Fear not, regular visitors, there will be the Annual NCAA Tournament Contest.

Of course, the biggest change is the new drop down menus. It's been a goal for several years. Also, one of the new features is that when you click on a link that takes you away from this website,  a new window will open so you won't lose your place here. That is dependant though, on whether your browser options are set to allow a website to open new windows. Another little touch is that when scrolling down a long page, if you want to go back to the top, there is an up arrow in the lower right hand corner to click that will take you there immediately.

If you do run across a problem, or dead link, or an issue trying to get a page to display properly, please send an email. A link to send an email should be available at the bottom of every page.

NCAA Slaps Kansas Basketball
with Several Violations

We knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when and how bad.

How of all the hype is genuine and how much of it is generated by the press and the Kansas haters that would love to see it hang?

Some headlines:

No fifteen conference championships this year for Kansas. The unblievable streak is over. Could it ever be possible to accomplish such a feat again? In ANY major sport?
Max Falkenstien Passes On

He was 95. I remember watching him and Fred White do the sports on WIBW in Topeka. Now they are both gone.

Here's a couple of items that put into perspective how long Max was doing play by play

* The Big VI, not the Big XII but the BIG VI, began in Kansas City in 1946. Max was there to cover it.

* Max did some play by play games at Topeka High School . . . when Dean Smith was playing there!

These four teams are the only Division 1 schools with over 2,000 victories. The top three, the true blue-bloods, are forever tied together.

The next school to join this elite club will probably be Temple.

Iowa State wins the Big 12

See the Big XII Tournament page for more info.

"There is parity in the Big 12.
Everyone has an equal chance to finish second."
